Co-founder & CEO
James is a pioneer in EV Infrastructure. His first EV career started with a grant he wrote in 2009, to optimize and electrify the City of Houston’s downtown motor pool. Post winning a $2.5M grant to develop the project, James recruited Reliant Energy (NRG) to participate in the electrification of the City’s fleet. These programs helped lead to the creation of NRG EV Services and eventually EVgo, where James spent 5 years paving the way for DCFC development across Texas and California. James was also an early employee in one of the first Mobility as a Service platforms: Vision Fleet and Evercar. The first companies to sell the service of EVs by the mile and hour.
For the next seven years, James focused on design and construction of EV Infrastructure and has developed over 200MW of predominantly DCFC, with brytemove energy (previously known as MaxGen). Programs include deploying over 1,000 charge points at FedEx Express locations across California, consulting and execution of electrification efforts for US and Canadian Mercedes Benz dealerships (~440 locations), microgrid EV projects like EVgo’s UCSD campus and the Tesla site in Las Vegas, and the only firm to win both design and contracting awards for SCE’s Charge Ready programs. In January 2024, James shifted over full time to EVlogic to help organizations deploy EV Infrastructure at an expedited pace.
EVlogic is essentially a data dump of over 20 years combined EV development experience into a platform to help accelerate development of charging infrastructure. Our founding team has a deep understanding of what it takes to get a project in the ground from the early days of site identification all they way through commissioning. It's this experience that makes EVlogic different as it is a purpose built tool, built by those who build EV Infrastructure.
